At 3:04, car #2-P900 Audi R8 (overall leader) into the pits. Fuel only, no driver change. Retains the lead after returning to the track, on the same lap and 12.7 seconds over second place (#38), 45.2 seconds over third place (#50).
At 3:08, car #11-P675 Lola B2K/40/Judd is officially retired with engine problems.
At 3:15, car #6-GT BMW M3 GTR into the pits. Tires and fuel, no driver change.
At 3:17, car #42-GT BMW M3 GTR (leader in class) into the pits. Tires and fuel, driver change: JJ Lehto. Retains the lead in class after the stop.
 
At 3:19, car #44-GTS Dodge Viper GTS-R spun coming into turn 9, car #50-P900 Panoz LMP1 Roadster S had to lock his brakes to keep from hitting the #44 car, slight contact, but both cars continued.
 
At 3:20, car #50-P900 Panoz LMP1 Roadster S into the pits, replaced left front tire, added fuel.
At 3:30, car #38-P900 Audi R8 (second overall) heavy impact into the tire wall at turn 2, the car is to damaged to continue. Herbert had cut the lead to only 2.6 seconds (from 12) before the crash. Driver is out and OK.
 
At 3:32, full course yellow. At 3:39, green flag.
 
At 3:40, car #16-P R&S Mk IIIC/Lincoln passes car #8-P900 Cadillac LMP 01 for third overall going into turn 2, then goes off at turn 5 giving third back to the #16 car.
 
At 3:46, checkered flag. Unofficial top three in class: #2-P900 (115 laps), #50-P900 (113 laps), #7-P900; #5-P675 (111 laps), #57-P675 (95 laps), #11-P675 (out); #3-GTS (109), #26-GTS (108 laps), #4-GTS (107 laps); #42-GT (107 laps), #43-GT, #6-GT.
