NOTES OF INTEREST
American Le Mans Series machines will be competing at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the first time since the founding of the series in 1999. True to its name, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course has a long and rich history of sports car racing, and many of the drivers who compete in the ALMS have raced at the circuit in the past. The picturesque circuit is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in the 2001 season. The ALMS and the BFGoodrich Trans-Am Series are a part of a weekend of road racing that includes the NeOhio Region - SCCA National event.
