Shane Lewis (#45-GTS Dodge Viper GTS-R) (about his accident) "I’m really not sure right now what happened. We’re looking at the data. As I got down into turn one, I touched the brakes, but the car steered itself to the right, and when it did that I knew we had a problem. There’s a good possibility the brake balance bar got hung up. Hopefully we can get it fixed and make the event." (about his condition, after a trip to the track hospital) "I’m fine. Many people are concerned because of the major surgery I had on my right leg, but I’m completely fine. I’m more worried about the crew having to work their butts off getting ready for the race."

JJ Lehto (#42-GT BMW M3 GTR) (about second in qualifying) "Tomorrow, doing two hours and 45 minutes as fast as we can is what matters. There was a big change in the track temperatures from this morning until now. Everybody is learning at the moment, nobody has had time to get into the detail work. For sure, everybody learned a lot from qualifying and we will get it all sorted out tonight."

Jörg Müller (#42-GT BMW M3 GTR) "The three cars leading the championship are in the first three positions, so that's good for the series.  I'm happy and looking forward to the race."

Fredrik Ekblom (#43-GT BMW M3 GTR) "The track was very slippery this afternoon compared to this morning and it took me by a bit of a surprise.  It was not a really perfect lap, but it was decent and we'll take it for what it is.  It's very close, just a couple of tenths [of a second], so we're going to fight tomorrow.  We'll do some work overnight, but in general we have a good car for tomorrow."

Dirk Müller (#43-GT BMW M3 GTR) "It's surprising to see the track was a lot slower than this morning.  I don't know what to say - it's the first time since we've been in America that we're not on the pole.  Fredrik did a very good job, we worked really hard and we were really prepared for it, so maybe it was a bit of bad luck.  But we've won races from the fourth position before, so I'm really looking forward to tomorrow."
