The two new BMW Team PTG M3 GTRs finished today's 90-minute practice session for Sunday's X-Factor Grand Prix of Sonoma at Sears Point Raceway on top of the GT class.  The No. 10 of Bill Auberlen and Niclas Jönsson paced the twelve-car class with Auberlen's time of 1:33.407 around the 2.52-mile circuit.  The No. 6 of Hans Stuck and Boris Said was second with Said's time of 1:33.776.

Bill Auberlen, driver No. 10 PTG M3 GTR

"The GTR is like a tuning fork.  It gives you very positive feedback - a definite yes or no - which is the sign of a very good racing car.  Tom Milner and Team PTG have come up with a very good set-up that showed itself today."

Niclas Jönsson, driver No. 10 PTG M3 GTR

"The first day has been good.  We tried different compound and construction Yokohamas and learned some good things.  I am looking forward to the rest of the weekend."

Hans Stuck, driver No. 6 PTG M3 GTR

"It is nice to be back at Sears Point.  The M3 GTR is handling and braking great.  In this moment the car is better than the driver - which does not often happen in my life."

Boris Said, driver No. 6 PTG M3 GTR

"Awesome turning and braking - the ultimate driving machine."
