FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 17, 2001 (Sebring, FL) - An unfortunate turn of events shortened American Le Mans driver Darren Law's run at the Superflo 12 Hours of Sebring Saturday. Law had been in the car for about an hour and a half when the #98 Kelly Moss Porsche GT3R broke an axle. Starting 11th, Law and co-driver, Cort Wagner had moved the car to fourth place by the three hour mark. "Unfortunately, after I was in the car for about an hour and a half, a half shaft broke on the car," Law said. Law said despite the early exit from the race, he was pleased with the effort put forth by the team. "I was in a great car with a great team," Law said. "Kelly Moss is a well-established team with some great potential. We had a good shot at winning the GT class today. It just didn't work out. The Yokohama tires performed well today. We ran for an hour straight with absolutely no problems." Law's next event will be the Sun Automotive 200 in the Grand American Road Racing Rolex Series at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday April 21. |
