FORT WORTH-DALLAS (Feb. 22, 2001) - Up close and personal is the theme for fans attending the Leather Center Grand Prix of Texas on March 3-4 at Texas Motor Speedway. The weekend road race features a special "All Access" ticket for racing enthusiasts to see the high profile racing machines-up close! "This is a great opportunity for our fans to get down in the paddock area and see these incredible cars," speedway vice president and general manager Eddie Gossage said. "It is one thing to view a race from the grandstands, but to have the chance to be down in the infield and enjoy the racing atmosphere from that vantage point is a thrilling experience." All tickets for the Leather Center Grand Prix of Texas are good for the grandstands and the paddock area. Fans are encouraged to attend the free driver autograph session on Saturday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. Drivers from the American Le Mans Series, SPEEDVISION World Challenge, and Star Mazda Series will be on the road course on Saturday in practice and qualifying sessions. All three series race on Sunday, March 4. Gates open each day at 8:00 a.m. Children ages 12 and under will be admitted free with a paying adult. The kids are encouraged to enjoy the infield carnival, featuring rides and games.
