The series, in its second full year, contains two distinct series, each with separate schedules and formats. The Panoz GT/GTS Series will be six races, and the Panoz GT/GTS Pro Series will be three races.

Each series includes two classes of race cars: The GT class cars are "spec" cars that are fielded with different individuals in a �draw� situation for car numbers each race. All are equally-prepared by the Panoz Racing Series. There is also a GTS class, in which entries will be privately-fielded. The GTS cars are built by Panoz Auto Development.

The GTS and GT cars race together in the Panoz Racing Series events, but are scored separately.

There will be GT Pro, GTS Pro, GT Series and GTS Series, plus Overall champions for both the GTS and GT classes. Drivers are encouraged to compete in all nine races, but are not required to do so.
