"This is a great step forward for STRANA as it continues to refine the product it is putting on North American tracks next summer," said STRANA Executive Director Brian Till. "IMSA is a sanctioning organization that brings strong credibility to super truck racing and a rich heritage in motorsports. I'm happy that IMSA believes in STRANA and has agreed to sanction the series events."

In its capacity as sanctioning body, IMSA will create a rulebook with the input of STRANA and the racing series. It will also lend a wealth of motorsports experience to STRANA in administering each of the series events.

"North American motorsports fans are looking for something new and exciting &endash; like super truck racing. Our sanctioning agreement with STRANA means that fans will get to see the ZF Super Truck Racing Championship Series on road courses next summer. IMSA is proud to be part of this new property."

Based in suburban Columbus, Ohio, STRANA is the governing body for class-eight super truck racing in North America. Its mission is to promote super truck racing and the trucking and transportation industry.
